inaugural blog post

 hello. this is my first post on the blog. i am not going to MODIFY the formatting right now because it's very 2009 and i love 2009. it was a good year. i should probably add a page view counter (all of my favorite websites have page view counters.)

what is this blog going to be about I DON'T KNOW YET.

i am currently ill with the coronavirus 19. if you are reading this decades from now you will probably be like "wow that's so early 2020s of you" and yes. i am very aware.

i have made this blog as a rebellion against the cruel vagaries of tumblr or twitter or instagram. i think they are vile websites made by vile people and i am taking a stand. i think my posts deserve to be in a curated and beautiful space because i post posts and posts are good to post.

the blog is called parentheses blog parentheses in order to emulate the phrase:

that is literally it. im sorry theres no smart reason there is no in joke. sorry.

im really obsessed with this gif of a cat i dont know why. i sent it to a friend of mine 127 times. i just think its really beautiful how the cat is like angered and then is pacified by the finger in the mouth in mode of human baby creature.

holy s**t (havent decided whether im swearing or not yet) that formatting is really weird. well whatever. i got my point across i made pointsssss

- my grandpa served in the korean war
- i am gay
- i once played a jackbox game with furry musician ashley ninelives
- i am partially responsible for the name of the default species in the hit steam game Species: Artificial Life, Real Evolution because i suggested it on the forums at like age 10

(large gap to emphasize that i am a cool person for suggesting the name at like age 10)

- i am enrolled in college somewhere
- i am currently not at said college because i have covid
- i use pronouns
- i will not elaborate on the previous statement
- i dont care if you believe in free will or not. please do not tell me your stance on this issue or explain it.
- i hate the pharrell song "happy" if you want to torture me just play that song.
- if you dont want to torture me play the beach boys i like the beach boys
